CreaTech 2026: Stages and Timelines

Aptitude Assessment

Teams will have to take an online MCQ assessment based on Aptitude questions. Participants will have to answer 30 questions in 30 minutes. It is mandatory for all team members to attempt the assessment. This will be an elimination round.

Case Launch & Submission

Shortlisted participants will be required to submit a 2-3 minute video pitch, a PPT with up to 7-8 slides, and a working prototype (optional) on any 1 problem statement of your choice. Annexures, if desired, can be added in addition to these slides.

Eligibility:

  • The competition is open for all full-time 2nd Year and 3rd Year Engineering students, from selected institutes.
  • Students must register in teams of three.
  • Cross-specialization team members are permitted.
  • Cross-college and cross-year team formation are not allowed.
  • One participant cannot be a member of more than one team.
  • Anyone with backlogs is not permitted to participate (Any subject/paper appeared and was not cleared in the first attempt is considered a backlog). 

Competition Structure:

The three stages of CreaTech are as follows:

MCQ Assessment

  • All registered teams will have to participate in the online quiz round. 
  • All team members need to mandatorily attempt the quiz.
  • The quiz will have a duration of 30 minutes with 30 questions. 
  • This assessment will be based on aptitude questions. 
  • The quiz score will be computed on the basis of accuracy and speed of completion. 
  • Participating teams will move on to the next level based on their performance in this assessment.
  • The quiz window will be 8 hours and have to be completed in one go. 
  • The quiz window will begin from 12 PM to 8 PM.

Case Submission

  • Shortlisted teams will be required to submit a 2-3 minute video pitch and a PPT with up to 7-8 slides (excluding cover slides). In addition, annexures can be added to these slides.
  • Teams can showcase a working prototype (optional) for their proposed solution.
  • Each team is required to pick only 1 problem statement.
  • You may compress your video using this link.
  • Team leader can change their submissions by clicking on ‘Submission’ and then ‘Change Submission’ any time before the submission deadline.
  • Please submit your files in this naming convention only: Team Name_Case Code.
  • Late submissions will not be accepted for evaluation.

Grand Finale

  • The top 6 teams would be shortlisted for the Grand Finale.
  • National Finalist teams will get the opportunity to present their ideas to the Senior Leadership of L&T.
  • Further details on venue/date etc. will be shared with the shortlisted teams at the appropriate time.

Rewards:

  • National Finalists to win Pre-Placement Interviews (PPIs) with L&T.
  • Winners will be rewarded with a cash prize of INR 1,00,000.
  • 1st Runners-up will be rewarded with a cash prize of INR 75,000.
  • 2nd Runners-up will be rewarded with a cash prize of INR 50,000.
  • Participation certificates will be provided.

Merger & Acquisition:

  • Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) Corporate Award 2019 was given to L&T in the Construction & Infrastructure Development category.
