Be Hackfest

Be Hackfest is a national-level live business case study competition for Engineering & MBA students from colleges across India. This exciting platform challenges STEM minds to analyse real-world business problems, innovate boldly, and design practical, future-ready solutions.

Eligibility Criteria:

• MBA and Engineering (B.Tech and M.Tech) students pursuing a full-time degree are eligible to participate from the selected campuses.
• This is an individual participation-based opportunity.

Rules 

• Only full-time pre-final year students can participate from the eligible institutes list
• There is no restriction on the number of individuals from an institute
• Ideas that are found to be plagiarised will be disqualified

Competition Structure:

Assessment Round:

• Participants will be required to answer 45 questions in 45 minutes, with 60 seconds allotted per question.
• Individuals who perform well in this assessment will qualify for the next level of the selection process.
• This is an elimination round, designed to assess capability, accuracy, and performance under time pressure.
• Each participant will be ranked based on Accuracy + Speed (Time Taken).

Hackathon Round:

• Individuals are required to submit either a 2-slider MS PowerPoint presentation (exported as a PDF) or a 2-minute video pitch explaining the prototype, showcasing the solution for any one of the provided problem statements.
• Individuals are requested to upload all required files on this page under the Hackathon Round section.
• All participants are encouraged to submit their solutions well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues or submission delays.
• This round is eliminatory and will be used to shortlist participants who will move forward to the Grand Finale stage.

Grand Finale Round:

• Based on the solutions, individuals will be shortlisted as Finalists.
• Results will be declared on a rolling basis, so keep an eye out for updates.
• Shortlisted individuals will be undergoing a technical discussion with the Bloom Energy Team at their office.
• The final selected participants will earn an Internship Opportunity with Bloom Energy.

Prizes and Rewards:

• The top Winners will be awarded with a cash prize of INR 1,00,000/-. 
• 1st Runner-up will be awarded with a cash prize of INR 75,000/-.
• 2nd Runner-up will be awarded with a cash prize of INR 50,000/-.
• Internship Opportunity and Goodies to all Finalists.
• Grand dinner meet with all the finally selected participants and a welcome kit.
• Participation Certificates for all the participants.
