Case-O-Nova 6.0: Stages and Timelines

Round 1: Quiz (on Unstop)

Knowing all that brand trivia will finally come in handy. 20 questions 12 minutes. Teams will be primarily judged on the accuracy of answers followed by speed of correct answers. The Top 150 teams shall qualify for the next round.

Round 2: Case Submission (via Unstop)

This will be a submission round! Please submit your 2 slide presentation (excluding introduction and references) outlining your main points and your objective. You can support your deck with original videos, posts, etc.

Submission Round (via Unstop)

The top 13 teams now need to submit a 7 slider by 1st March 2025 11:59 pm IST. 
All the submissions in this round will be considered for the final evaluation and live presentation in front of our judges. No changes can be made to the slide deck post this round. Please be as detailed as possible. 
Finals will be in ONLINE mode. Link will be shared in due time 

All that you need to know about Case-O-Nova 6.0

For all the passionate marketeers, IIM Bangalore’s marketing club MaSh presents Case-o-Nova 6.0.

It is a marketing case competition to prove your mettle as an ingenious marketeer. The participants will be tested on their understanding of marketing concepts as well as the insights behind the solutions. 

Round 1: Quiz (online)

  • Knowing all that brand trivia will finally come in handy.
  • 20 questions 12 minutes.
  • Teams will be primarily judged on the accuracy of answers followed by the speed of correct answers, in case of a tie.

Round 2: Case Submission (online)

  • In this round, we bring to you a marketing case to tantalize your brain cells. This round will test your understanding of the problem statement and identification of the challenges in front of you.
  • Participants are expected to present solutions that are realistic, viable, and the best among their competitors. 
  • The solution presentation can have at most 2-slides (excluding the introduction, thank you, and appendix slides).
  • Additionally, teams can tickle their creative nerves by supporting the deck with original videos, posts, etc.

Round 3: Finals (online)

  • The top 13 teams will qualify for this round and they need to submit a deck of 7 slides (excluding the introduction, thank you, and appendix slides).
  • Each team will get 8 minutes to present their case, followed by a 2-minute Q&A. The deck which is submitted this round will be considered to be the final deck and no changes will be allowed for the final presentation.

Rules and Regulations:

  • Registrations will close on 5th February 2025 at 3 pm.
  • This is a team event, with each team consisting of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 participants, all of whom must be enrolled in the same graduate or post-graduate program at the time of the submission. Each team must have a team leader.
  • Only the first submissions made by teams before the deadlines will be used.
  • Round 1 is an elimination round and Round 2 is a submission round post in which the top teams who are selected will need to make their presentations in front of the judges. 

Terms & Conditions:

  • All decisions in matters of eligibility, authenticity, and final judgments will be with the organizing committee of Smash, i.e. MaSh, the marketing club of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
