Theme: Everyday Magic
Reimagine an everyday moment in India as an interactive experience. Show what a person does, how your idea responds, and what makes the moment surprising, playful, or meaningful. Your idea can be digital, physical, or a mix of both.

DJXHack welcomes individual creators from across India. Compete for ₹75,000 in online cash prizes and the opportunity to be selected as one of 10 Hackers in Residence in Dehradun.

Who can participate?

• Students, designers, developers, artists, filmmakers, architects, storytellers, and curious makers are welcome.
• Apply individually. Team entries are not accepted.

What do you need to submit?

Complete the official form on the DJXHack website with:

• A concept PDF of up to 3 pages explaining your idea and how someone would interact with it.
• A 60–90 second concept video showing the experience from the person’s first action to the outcome.

An interactive demo is optional. Read the full challenge brief before submitting.

How will entries be evaluated?

• Originality: A fresh interpretation of an everyday moment.
• Clarity of interaction: A clear link between a person’s actions and the experience’s response.
• Emotional impact: A reason the experience will stay with someone.
• Potential to build: A thoughtful explanation of how the idea could work.

Prizes and residency

Jury Award: ₹50,000
Public Vote Award: ₹25,000
Hacker in Residence: 10 selected creators join five days of mentored making in Dehradun. Food and accommodation are covered; travel is reimbursed up to ₹5,000 per person.

The Public Vote Award has an optional entry step; see the website for its rules. Online awards and residency selection are separate, and public votes do not influence residency selection.
