HDFC Life's Aspire 2.0: Stages and Timelines

Aptitude Assessment

All members of the registered teams must participate in an aptitude assessment. Teams with the highest combined scores will be shortlisted for the next round.

Executive Summary Submission

Shortlisted teams will have to perform research and analysis on the case study and come up with a 2-slider summary presentation succinctly presenting the team’s solution.

Detailed Summary Submission

The shortlisted teams will submit their detailed solution (underlining the assumptions, approach, solution, implementation, and other deliverables mentioned in the detailed problem statement document). The top teams will be evaluated basis of the 10-slider presentation in front of the jury and will move to the grand finale round.

Grand Finale Submission

Teams will submit their final solutions to be presented to an esteemed jury panel in the Grand Finale.

The top teams will be invited virtually to present their solution virtually to a jury comprising esteemed industry stalwarts and HDFC Life leadership.

Eligibility & Team Rules:

  • This competition is open to final and pre-final year students enrolled in full-time 2-year programmes from all B-schools across India.
  • Students must register either as individuals or in teams of 2 or 3 members.
  • The participating students can be from any specialization.
  • A student can be a part of only one team.
  • Cross-year and cross-specialization teams are not eligible.
  • Cross-College Teams are not eligible.
  • Any deviation from the above will result in immediate disqualification of the entire team.

Round 1: Aptitude Assessment

  • All registered teams will have to take an aptitude assessment.
  • All team members must attempt the assessment round.
  • It is an eliminatory round.
  • Scoring will be a combination of accuracy (correct answer) and speed (time taken to answer).

Round 2: Executive Summary Submission 

  • Shortlisted teams will have to perform research and analysis on the case study and come up with a 2-slider summary presentation succinctly presenting the team’s solution.
  • Teams will be able to make changes to the submissions until the deadline is over.
  • Cover Page and Thank you slides are not included in the main slides.
  • Participating teams in this level will move on to the next round based on their performance.
  • All the teams are requested to submit their entries a few hours before the deadline to avoid any last-minute hassle.

Round 3: Detailed Summary Submission

  • Shortlisted teams will have to perform research and analysis on the case study and come up with a 10-slider (PDF format) underlining the assumptions, approach, solution, implementation, & other deliverables mentioned in the detailed problem statement document.
  • The cover Page and Thank you slides are not included in the main slides.
  • Teams will be able to make changes to the submissions until the deadline is over.
  • All the teams are requested to submit their entries a few hours before the deadline to avoid any last-minute hassle.
  • The top teams will be evaluated based on the 10-slider presentation before the jury and will move to the grand finale round. 

Round 4: Grand Finale

  • The top teams will be invited to present their solution virtually to a jury comprising esteemed industry stalwarts and HDFC Life leadership.

Rewards and Prizes:

  • Grand Finale Winner: The Grand Finale winning team will be rewarded with total cash prizes worth INR 1,00,000
  • 1st Runner-Up: The 1st Runner-Up team will be rewarded with total cash prizes worth INR 50,000
  • 2nd Runner-Up: The 2nd Runner-Up team will be rewarded with total cash prizes worth INR 30,000
  • All winners will get certificates & trophies.
