Ingenium Season 14: Stages and Timelines
Online Assessment
Put your critical thinking to the test! The final team score will be the average of the scores from all the registered members. It is mandatory for all the members of the team to attempt the assessment, we encourage all the members to participate.
Idea Submission
Shortlisted teams will submit an executive summary of their proposed solution, covering the Project Category, Engineering Problem, Technology, Solution Abstract, and Key Benefits.
Virtual Presentations
The top 25 Shortlisted teams from the previous round will present their solutions, prototypes / PoC virtually to the senior management of Quest Global. Each team will be provided 20 minutes for the presentation followed by 10 minutes for Q&A.
Mentorship Period
Out of the top 25 teams in the previous round, the top 10 will be shortlisted and will move ahead to the Mentorship Period and the Grand Finale. This will help the teams to further improvise and shape up their final presentations.
Grand Finale
In the grand finale, each team will present their solution following the playback of their video to the expert panel. This will be followed by a Q&A session. The top 3 teams will be selected based on their presentation, video, and overall technical content.

That commitment to engineering excellence extends to Ingenium, Quest Global’s flagship pan-India engineering idea contest. Now in its 14th year, Ingenium has engaged 100,000+ students and generated 50,000+ submissions, providing a platform for aspiring engineers to turn ideas into proof-of-concept solutions for real-world challenges. Participants gain hands-on exposure to industry problem-solving, mentorship from Quest Global engineers, and the opportunity for global exposure through visits to international engineering facilities. Ingenium bridges academia and industry, empowering the next generation to build what’s next.
Eligibility:
- The competition is open to all students pursuing an engineering degree in India (B.E. / B. Tech. 2nd/3rd/4th Year) and integrated dual degree programs (Open to 3rd/4th/5th Year) from the eligible institutes.
- All you need is a passion for engineering and creativity that reflects in your project.
Team Formation Guidelines:
- The students must register in teams of 1-3 members.
- The participants can be from any specialization.
- They should be full-time students from the campus.
- Cross-specialization teams are allowed to participate.
- Cross-year teams are allowed to participate.
- One participant cannot be a member of more than one team.
- There is no restriction on the number of teams from a particular institute.
- Any deviation from the above-mentioned guidelines will result in the immediate disqualification of the entire team.
Competition Structure:
Stage 1 – Registration & Online Assessment Round:
- All registered teams will have to attempt the online assessment round.
- All team members may attempt the assessment individually. It is mandatory for all members to take the assessment.
- The team's final score will be the average score of all the team members who took the assessment. Example: If only one team member attempts, the team's score will be that member's score. If two team members attempt, with one scoring 10 and the other 20, the team's score will be the average of both, resulting in a score of 15.
- The assessment will be based on critical thinking questions.
Stage 2: Idea Submission:
- Shortlisted teams will have to submit an executive summary of their proposed solution covering the below information:
- Project Category.
- Outline the real-life engineering problem that the proposed solution intends to address.
- Please provide a description of the technology used in building the solution.
- Provide an abstract of the proposed solution, and how will it help in solving the above problem?
- Please highlight the top 3 expected benefits of the Product / Solution for the end user.
- Teams will be able to view and change their submissions any time before the deadline.
Stage 3 – Virtual Presentations:
- The top 25 Shortlisted teams from the previous round will present their solutions, prototypes / PoC virtually to the senior management of Quest Global.
- Each team will be provided 20 minutes for the presentation followed by 10 minutes for Q&A.
- All the relevant details will be shared with the shortlisted teams via email.
Mentorship Period:
- Out of the top 25 teams in the previous round, the top 10 will be shortlisted and will move ahead to the Mentorship Period and the Grand Finale.
- Teams will be assigned one mentor respectively.
- Every team will get an opportunity to connect with their mentor for an hour a few days prior to the Grand Finale.
- This will help the teams to further improvise and shape up their final presentations.
Stage 4 – Grand Finale:
- In the grand finale, each team will have to make a presentation after their video is played to the panel, followed by a Q&A session.
- Based on the presentation, video, and overall technical content, the top 3 teams will be selected by the panel of experts.
Rewards and Prizes:
- Winners: Cash Prize of INR 2,00,000 and PPI opportunity with Quest Global along with a fully paid trip to an overseas engineering facility.
- First Runners-Up: Cash Prize of INR 1,00,000 and PPI opportunity with Quest Global.
- Second Runners-Up: Cash Prize of INR 50,000 and PPI opportunity with Quest Global.
