MCQ Assessment
All the team members must attempt the aptitude test individually, and the scoring will be done based on the average scores of all the team members. The areas covered in the test are Data Interpretation, Analytics, Critical Thinking, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning. You will have 45 minutes to answer 30 questions.
Detailed Submission Round
Shortlisted teams will have to give a detailed submission of their proposed solution to the problem provided in a 5-6 slider PPT (excluding the Introduction slide and Appendix slide) format.
Grand Finale
Finalists will be invited to present their solutions in person to a jury at K J Somaiya Institute of Management* during the on-ground finale

K.J Somaiya Institute of Management presents KJSIMplified, an exciting 3-level competition. This competition will allow students to showcase their ability to solve real-world problems in a collaborative style.
KJSIMplified is a one-of-a-kind event that will offer you a chance to be a part of this prestigious institute by showing your creativity and innovation in solving everyday problems. Test your skills, push beyond your comfort zone, and craft solutions that make a difference.

Eligibility:
- The competition is open to only full-time students from colleges under the UGC.
- The competition is open to all final-year students. Students pursuing their post-graduation, apart from MBA, can participate.
- Final year students from any specialisation can participate. MBA students are not eligible.
- Students with 1-3 years of work experience are eligible.
Rules and Guidelines:
- Teams can consist of 1-3 members.
- Teams can include members from different specialisations within the same institute. Cross-institute teams are not allowed.
- All the team members must attempt the aptitude test individually and the scoring will be done based on the average scores of all the team members.
- Cross-Institute teams are not allowed, however, Cross-specialisation teams are allowed.
- Cross-year teams are eligible provided all the team members are final-year students.
- All the team members are required to verify and confirm their details while registering for the competition.
- A student can be a part of only one team.
- Modification of team post registration will not be allowed.
- There is no restriction on the number of teams from an Institute.
- Any deviation from the above-mentioned guidelines will result in the immediate disqualification of the entire team.
Competition Structure:
Level 1 - Online Aptitude test:
- All teams and their members must attempt this aptitude test.
- The areas covered in the test are Data Interpretation, Analytics, Critical Thinking, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning.
- The duration of the test is 45 minutes.
- The aptitude test can be attempted at any time during an 8-hour window.
- The evaluation would be based on accuracy and speed.
Level 2 - Problem-Solving Submission Round:
- Shortlisted teams will have to give a detailed submission of their proposed solution to the problem provided in a 5-6 slider PPT (excluding the Introduction slide and Appendix slide) format.
- The teams will have a 2-week window for submission of the solution to the problem.
- The last day to submit entries will be announced.
- Submissions should include a preferred video URL (YouTube, Google Drive, WeTransfer, etc.) as part of the presentation.
- Teams are requested to upload their entries a few hours before the deadline to avoid high traffic closer to the deadline.
- The file size of the document should not exceed 5 MB.
- Teams will be able to view and change their submissions anytime before the deadline.
Level 3 - Grand Finale Round:
- Finalists will be invited to present their solutions in person to a jury at K J Somaiya Institute of Management* during the on-ground finale. (Dates to be announced soon)
- Teams are advised to prepare for an in-depth Q&A session post-presentation.
- The top 3 teams will be selected as winners based on their presentations.
- Additional details or supporting materials may be included in an appendix slide.
- Selected Finalists need to present their solution in front of the Jury.
- Teams will be given time to present followed by Q&A (The time given for each part will be announced soon).
*Please note that the travel cost to SVU (KJSIM) will be borne by the team members.
Rewards and Prizes:
- The top Winning team will be awarded with a cash prize of INR 15000/-
- 1st Runner-up team will be awarded with a cash prize of INR 10000/-
- 2nd Runner-up team will be awarded with a cash prize of INR 5000/-
- The winner, 1st runner-up, and 2nd runner-up will get a chance to directly participate in the 100% scholarship process offered by K J Somaiya Institute of Management for its MBA programme.
- Winning certificates for the top 3 teams.
- Certificate of participation to all finalist teams.
