Maruti Suzuki XCELerate 2025 - E-Track: Stages and Timelines
Demo Assessment
Participants are recommended to undergo a Demo Quiz round to make themselves familiar with the platform. This is NOT an elimination or evaluation round.
MCQ Assessment
Registered teams will have to take an online assessment consisting of 30 questions. All team members will attempt the assessment individually. There will be a time limit of 1 minute for each question. You won’t be able to see the next question until you attempt or skip the previous one.
Executive Summary Submissions
Shortlisted teams from the quiz round need to submit their pitch in a 2-slider PPT. The problem statement and the submission template can be downloaded from the round itself once the submission window starts.
Detailed Presentation Submissions
Shortlisted teams need to submit their detailed solutions in the form of a PPT comprising of a maximum of 10 slides.
Grand Finale
The Finalists will get a chance to present their solutions to the Senior Leadership team and will compete for the Winner's Title at the Grand Finale of Maruti Suzuki XCELerate.

Maruti Suzuki launches the second edition of XCELerate, a next-gen case study competition for futuristic minds who can envision the future of mobility and work towards making a mark with their diverse ideas.
XCELerate captures the spirit of being bold with ideas and moving beyond boundaries to step up to build the future of mobility. It lays down a foundation for a pathway that is designed to find a balance between the pillars of mobility and the future growth aspects.
Calling all eligible E-School students with a passion for the automobile sector to innovate and become the next changemakers. We’re looking for the ones who make the most out of new experiences to design for a sustainable future. Find the spark to your fuel that ignites the spirit of bold ideas and the confidence to become limitless!
- E-School Track: Final-year students enrolled in B.E./B.Tech or Integrated Dual Degree programs from the list of eligible colleges may apply.

Team Formulation Guidelines:
- Interested students must register in a team of 2-3 members.
- All members of a team should be from the same institute.
- Cross-specialisation teams can participate.
- Cross-year teams are not allowed to participate.
- All the team members need to provide their consent to participate in the competition.
- A student cannot be a part of more than one team.
- Only Engineering students can participate in Maruti Suzuki XCELerate.
- There is no restriction on the number of teams from an institute.
- Once the registration closes, the teams won't be able to change their team members.
Competition Structure and Details:
Round 1: MCQ Assessment
- All registered teams need to attempt the Online Assessment.
- Every team will get only one opportunity to take the assessment. If you have taken it once anytime during the assessment window, then you won't be allowed to retake it.
- It is mandatory for all the members of a team to attempt the online assessment.
- Participants will be assessed based on questions on Critical Reasoning, Logical Ability, and Analytics.
- Participation certificates will be provided to everyone who attempts the quiz.
Round 2: Executive Summary Submission
- All shortlisted teams from both tracks will be informed about the challenge statements in due time.
- Teams will be required to submit a 2-slider PPT of their proposed solution in the prescribed format.
- All the teams are requested to submit their entries a few hours before the deadline to avoid any last-minute hassle.
- The teams would be able to view and change their submissions anytime before the submission deadline. Hence, we would recommend the teams to make their submission at the earliest.
Round 3: Detailed Presentation Submission and Virtual Presentation Rounds
- Teams shortlisted for Round 3 need to submit their detailed presentations.
- Teams will get an opportunity to present their solutions virtually to the Senior Management of Maruti Suzuki.
- Each team will get 10 minutes to present and 5 minutes for Q&A (a total of 15 minutes).
- All the important details will be shared with the shortlisted teams via email.
Round 4: Grand Finale
- The National Finalists will present their solutions to the jury panel of Maruti Suzuki.
- The Winners and Runners-up stand a chance to win PPI opportunities.

- First Runner Up: INR 1,00,000
- Second Runner Up: INR 75,000
- PPI opportunities will be provided to the Top 3 teams.

- Skill Development: this program by Maruti Suzuki focuses on the enhancement of Government ITIs, skill enhancement in automobile trade, and establishment of Japan India Institute for Manufacturing to create a pool of skilled manpower for manufacturing in India.

- #PehniKya: this pan-India social campaign by Maruti Suzuki was launched by the company to create awareness about the benefits of wearing a seat belt, attack misconceptions and negative attitudes around seat belts and influence people to assure seat belt usage at all times in the car. - Road Safety: the company established Institutes of Driving and Traffic Research (IDTRs) to train passenger and commercial vehicle drivers with the help of world-class training infrastructure and qualified trainers and Maruti Driving Schools (MDSs) to nourish a secured driving experience through distinctive theoretical sessions, driving classes, and test tracks on the road.
