Product Track - The American Express Campus Challenge 2024

The Product track of the American Express Campus Challenge 2024 will enable the students to showcase product mindset and apply data analytics skills to analyze match performances and provide actionable insights along with team recommendations to help management & sponsors take data-driven decisions.

Eligibility:

• Batch of 2026 students from B.Tech/B.E courses from the below-mentioned colleges are eligible:
  
  • Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS), Pilani
  • Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Delhi
  • Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), Delhi
  • Punjab Engineering College (PEC), Chandigarh
  • Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET), Patiala
  • Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore
• You can only register individually.
• There is no restriction on the number of registrations from an institute.

Competition Structure:

Round 1: Submit Solution for First Evaluation Dataset

• In this round, demonstrate your data analysis skills, attention to detail, and ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets using the cricket statistics-based dataset provided.
• Submit your output in XLS/XLSX format.
• The sample output template needs to be mandatorily followed.
• Only one submission of the solution is allowed per participant.

Round 2: Submit Solution for Second Evaluation Dataset

• The top selected participants on the leaderboard based on Round 1 results will be eligible for Round 2.
• In this round, demonstrate your ability to strategize, analyze data for informed decisions, and articulate outcome rationale convincingly through data using output datasets created in Round 1.
• Additional supplementary documents (codes, slides) may be requested if required.
• Only one submission of solution is allowed per participant.

Round 3: Deck Submission & Virtual Presentation

• The top participants on the leaderboard based on Round 2 results will be eligible for this round.
• Participants are requested to submit a 5-minute video recording as per the sample format explaining the approach, analysis, algorithms, and other considerations used to solve the Round 2 problem statement.

Rewards:

• The national winner of the competition will be rewarded with an Apple iPhone.
• The top 15 selected participants from the overall competition will bag PPIs for internships (*subject to T&C) with American Express.
• The top 5 performers from each participating college will be rewarded:
  • The top 2 performers from each participating college will be rewarded with Apple AirPods.
  • The other 3 performers from each college will be rewarded with Amex Merchandise.
