Consultomania - Sortify Case Challenge: Stages and Timelines
Strategy Pulse
Strategy Pulse is a time-bound online screening round designed to simulate decision-making under pressure. The round evaluates structured reasoning, analytical depth, and clarity of thought, focusing on application over memorization. Teams are ranked on accuracy and speed, with only high-performing teams advancing further. A designated team representative will attempt the round on behalf of the team.
Case Study Submission
#CatchtheRightBin is a community-driven social initiative by DS Group addressing improper waste segregation at source. Waste is generated across households, offices, restaurants, institutions, and public spaces, making this a cross-sector challenge. The initiative simplifies daily segregation decisions through intuitive, colour-coded bin cues integrated into Catch’s packaging.
Teams will work on a real-world consulting case, centered around emerging challenges in sustainable business and industry readiness. Participants are required to submit a maximum of 3-slide presentation (excluding opening and closing slides and no appendix allowed) outlining their problem framing, approach, analysis, and recommendations. Solutions will be evaluated on insightfulness, feasibility, scalability, and big-picture thinking, with a strong emphasis on structured reasoning and practical impact.
The Final Call
The top 10 teams advance to the final round to present their solutions for the DS Group case before a panel of judges from the DS group. Each team will have 7 minutes to present, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A to defend their recommendations. This round tests strategic clarity, sustainability-driven thinking, and the ability to justify decisions under pressure. Detailed presentation guidelines will be shared with qualifying teams.
