Hackathon E-Summit'22: Stages and Timelines

Guidelines:

  • Hackathon teams will be a maximum of 4 people.
  • The hackathon will be conducted on GitHub.
  • Participants have to make a GitHub repository, either public or private and share its link in the unstop submission.
  • Our expert panel will analyze it and share the result via email.
  • Participants have to develop the idea given in the problem statement which will be released on August 25, 2022, at 00:00 IST.
  • Along with the GitHub link of the submitted project, participants also have to submit a presentation demonstrating every feature and code architecture of the project.
  • Video presentations would be given an edge. You can share the drive link of the video presentation.
  • Teams can of course gain advice and support from organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and others.
  • All work on a project should be done during the hackathon.
  • Teams can use libraries, frameworks, or open-source code in their projects.
  • Working on a project before the event and open-sourcing it for the sole purpose of using the code during the event is against the spirit of the rules and is not allowed.
  • Teams must stop hacking once the time is up.
  • Teams can be disqualified from the competition at the organizers’ discretion.
  • Reasons might include but are not limited to breaking the competition rules.
  • The decision of the team E-Summit will be final.

Judging Criteria:

  • Technology: How technically impressive was the hack? Was the technical problem the team tackled difficult? Did it use a particularly clever technique or did it use many different components?
  • Design: Did the team put thought into the user experience? How well designed is the interface?
  • Completion: Does the hack work? Did the team achieve everything they wanted?
  • Learning: Did the team stretch themselves? Did they try to learn something new? What kind of projects have they worked on before?

About Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indore

  • Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IITI), established by the Government of India in 2009, is located in Madhya Pradesh.
  • It is one of the new eight IITs, started by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
  • The temporary campus of IITI was established in the Institute of Engineering and Technology of Devi Ahilyabai University under the mentorship of IIT Bombay.
  • The foundation of the permanent campus was laid down by Shri Arjun Singh, the Union HRD Minister.
  • Since February 2016, IIT Indore is doing its functioning from their permanent campus.
