CodeTantra: The Ultimate Coding Showdown is a high-intensity three-round coding competition held as part of TechUtsav, the ACM Chapter's premier tech festival. Participants will tackle Competitive Programming (CP) and Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) challenges, testing their problem-solving skills, speed, and strategic thinking under pressure.

Round 1: Prompt Genesis

Rules:

• Participants will have 40 minutes to solve 5 CP & DSA problems using ChatGPT.
• Each question has 8 hidden test cases, and participants must pass at least 6 test cases to proceed to the next question.
• The top-performing participants (based on test cases passed) will qualify for the next round.

Guidelines:

• Use of ChatGPT or any other LLM or AI is allowed only for this round to generate logic and approach..
• Participants must submit solutions within the given time; incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Round 2: Speed Coding

Rules:

• Participants will have 30 minutes to solve a given coding problem.
• Use of ChatGPT, Copilot, or any AI assistance is strictly prohibited.
• The best 10 performers (based on code accuracy and efficiency) will qualify for the final round.

Guidelines:

• Solutions must be written from scratch without external help.
• Code efficiency and correctness will be evaluated; partial solutions may not be considered.
• Submissions must be made before the timer ends—late submissions will not be accepted.

Round 3: Ctrl + Shift + Pass

Rules:

• This round follows a "Passing the Parcel" format.
• When the music stops, the participant holding the parcel must pick a chit and answer the coding-related question within 1 minute.
• If they don’t know the answer, they may pass the question—but only once.
• The last remaining participant will be declared the winner.

Guidelines:

• Questions will be based on fundamental coding concepts and logic.
• If a participant fails to answer within the time limit, they will be eliminated.
• Fair play is expected—no external help or discussion is allowed during the round.
  Note: The ACM MHSSCOE reserves the right to make all final decisions regarding the competition. This includes, but is not limited to, determining participant eligibility, interpreting the rules, setting judging criteria, and awarding prizes. All decisions made by the organizers are final and binding.
