All that you need to know about Flipkart <Girls Wanna Code/> 6.0

<Girls Wanna Code/> is a Flipkart initiative that started in 2018 with the objective to promote women's tech talent and give them an opportunity to work with the best minds in technology in India.

This unique upskilling program has been designed with a purpose of making our tech ecosystem more fairly represented and inclusive. As an organization, we try to be supportive to the cause of under-representation of women in the Tech Landscape of the country, and try to do our bit in bridging the skill gap to make them more industry ready.

For the same reason, the program focuses on less-focused women-only tech campuses PAN India. Over years, GWC has been able to train young minds to secure tech roles not only in Flipkart, but in some of the top firms in the country.

Eligibility: <Girls Wanna Code/> 6.0 is open to all women engineering students pursuing a full-time B.Tech./ B.E. (3rd and 4th year) or M.Tech./ M.E. (all years) degrees across branches from the selected list of all women-only colleges PAN India.

Once you are part of the Scholar Cohort, based on the initial online test, you will be shared a detailed plan of 4 learning modules - consisting of a combination of self-paced learning assignments and facilitated sessions with Industry Experts from Flipkart who will help you learn via real-life problem statements. You will also be assigned a mentor, for query resolution and other assignments, that will help you truly upskill and understand the nuances.

There will be an assessment post each module, and post the completion of all 4, based on the cumulative scores, we will come up with our Top 30 performers. These candidates will get not only an invite to visit our Flipkart Headquarters (FK Sponsored) but also direct interviewing opportunities for SDE roles (both internship and full-time).

For the remaining cohort, there will be one final assessment, subject to which they will be eligible for the interview process for the same roles. The same will be conducted in a virtual set-up.
