RoboRace

RoboRace is an exhilarating remote-controlled robotics competition where participants navigate their robots over diverse terrains, including gravel and uneven surfaces. Participants demonstrate skill in controlling speed and stability, adapting to varied obstacles and challenging course layouts. This event emphasizes mechanical robustness and adept remote piloting, attracting tech hobbyists and competitive racers.

Round Overview:

• Round 1 ( Elimination Round ) :The first round will be an elimination round in which the bots that complete the arena in the fastest period will proceed to Round 2. 
• Round 2: In the second round, 300 gm of the payload will be placed over the holder. The bot that finishes the round in the least duration will be declared the winner. For every drop of the payload, 3 seconds will be added to the team's total time for Round 2, and the winner will be declared accordingly. The timing of each team will be determined by keeping the penalties in mind

General Guidelines:

• Teams of 2-6 participants compete in this event.
• Bots must be self-designed and comply with specific size and weight limitations.
• The event involves navigating a challenging obstacle course and completing tasks like maneuvering through uneven surfaces, slopes, and random irregularities.
• If the bot is stuck or goes off-track, a hand touch is allowed, but only up to five touches in Round 1. In Round 2, there are no restrictions on touches.
• Each team will be given three laps in Round 1 and two laps in Round 2. The best performance across all laps will be considered for evaluation.

Bot Specifications: 

• The bots designed should be completely electric (should not be fuel powered). 
• Wired and wireless bots are acceptable with a maximum battery voltage of 24V. 
• Max weight of bot allowed = 3kg (Without payload) 
• The maximum permissible dimension of robots is 250x250x250 mm. There can be a maximum error of +10%.
• There must be space to put a 300 gm payload on top of the bot 
• Motors: There is no restriction on speed (High torque motors will be better for the terrain) 

Judging Criteria:

• The team that completes the course in the least time wins.
• In case of a tie, the fastest bot with fewer penalties (payload drops) will be the winner.
