SEED Hackathon 2025 – Round-Wise Overview
The SEED Hackathon 2025 challenges participants to solve global problems across three domains — Digital Systems, Ecological Systems, and Physical Systems. Round 1 (Oct 1–30): Submit an abstract proposing innovative solutions. Round 2 (Nov 1–15): Develop prototypes and refine ideas with expert mentorship. Round 3 (Nov 16–19): Receive final guidance during the mentorship phase. Finale (Nov 20): Present your solution live to global experts and compete for top honors. Join to build deepfake detection systems, predict ecosystem collapse, or secure critical infrastructure — and make your mark on technology and innovation.

The SEED Hackathon is designed to immerse participants in solving real-world challenges impacting global systems. It mirrors the dynamic, fast-paced environment of tech startups—guiding teams from idea conception to prototype creation. The initiative aims to foster an entrepreneurial mindset, enhance problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and provide hands-on exposure to user research, product design, and market validation.
The SEED Hackathon, organized in collaboration with Boston University and GW Engineering, is a global team-based innovation challenge. Participants will leverage advanced tools and real market insights to tackle complex digital, ecological, and physical system problems. Through this experience, they’ll test their abilities in coding, design thinking, business strategy, and teamwork, developing practical solutions that can create real impact. Open to students and professionals worldwide, the event offers a stimulating and authentic platform for innovation.
What is Abstract Submission?
Submitting an abstract is the first step in the SEED Hackathon 2025. Your abstract should provide a concise summary of your proposed solution, clearly outlining the problem you aim to address, your innovative approach, and the potential impact of your idea.

Winning Team

Runner Up Team
The runner-up team members will receive appreciation letters and exclusive hampers from participating international universities, application fee waivers for these universities, and participation certificates, celebrating their efforts and providing valuable opportunities for further academic growth.
Second Runner Up Team
The second runner-up team members will receive recognition and opportunities, along with appreciation letters and exclusive hampers from participating international universities, application fee waivers, and participation certificates, honoring their achievement and supporting their academic journey.
Winning Team: Scholarship of upto 75%* from Boston University & GW Engineering
*Eligible only for winners that secure admission for Fall 2026 intake with CGPA of 3.5 or higher. Scholarship applies only to Tuition fees and does not cover any other expenses.
Runner Up Team: Scholarship of upto 50%* by Boston University & GW Engineering
*Eligible only for winners that secure admission for Fall 2026 intake with CGPA of 3.4 or higher. Scholarship applies only to Tuition fees and does not cover any other expenses.
