SOC Analyst Track - Cybersecurity Internship (6 Months)

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Monitor security alerts and events to identify potential threats and incidents.
• Perform in-depth log analysis to detect suspicious activities and policy violations.
• Utilize threat detection tools and techniques to identify and analyze malware and other cyber threats.
• Assist in the investigation of security incidents, including data collection and initial analysis.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of SOC (Security Operations Center) procedures and playbooks.
• Collaborate with senior analysts to understand and respond to security events.
• Document security findings, incident details, and recommended remediation steps.
• Participate in training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities to enhance cybersecurity expertise.
• Gain practical experience in using various security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
• Support the team in maintaining the overall security posture of the organization.

Requirements:

• This is a 6-month internship program. Candidates should be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. A strong foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles is expected.
• Prior exposure to security concepts through coursework or personal projects is a plus.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Log Analysis is essential for dissecting security events and identifying anomalies.
• Demonstrated ability in Threat Detection is crucial for recognizing and understanding potential cyber risks.
