Online Virtual Presentation
100 qualified teams will participate in a virtual presentation on the progress of their prototypes.
Grand Finale (March 27th)
The top 50 teams will come to BMSIT&M to present their prototypes.
All that you need to know about Anveshana 3.0
The Anveshana Prototype Competition 2026, a National Level Innovation Challenge, is hosted by the Institution’s Innovation Council of BMSIT&M (IIC BMSIT&M) and BMS Innovation Centre and Entrepreneurship Park (BICEP) at BMS Institute of Technology and Management (BMSIT&M), Bengaluru. This event aims to inspire innovative ideas, foster entrepreneurial spirit, and provide a platform for innovators to transform their concepts into tangible solutions. Industrial experts will evaluate the projects, and the best-performing teams will win attractive prizes.
Eligibility Protocol:
- Open To: Students, faculty members, and research scholars associated with any recognized institution in India.
- Team Composition:
- Size: Minimum 1 member, Maximum 4 members.
- Formation Rule: Teams may consist of any combination of individuals (students, faculty, or mixed)
Registration Guidelines:
- Method: Online submission via the Unstop platform.
- Submission Limit: Exactly one registration per team.
- Procedure:
- The Team Leader registers the team.
- Team members are added by the Leader after the initial registration.
- Teammate Finding: Applicants seeking members may use the designated
teammates_findergroup. - Compliance: Incomplete data or missed deadlines result in automatic disqualification.
Competition Tracks:
Teams must identify with one of the following 7 domain tracks. Track Prizes are awarded based on these categories:
- Health, Life and Human Safety
- Energy, Climate & Environmental Systems
- Mobility, Infrastructure & Built Environment
- Industry, Manufacturing & Automation
- Digital, Economic & Information Systems
- Agriculture, Food & Biological Production Systems
- Open Innovation
Competition Roadmap & Elimination:
This competition operates on a funnel system. Decisions made by the evaluators at every stage are final and binding.
- Phase 1: PPT Submission
- Requirement: Submission of a PowerPoint Presentation (PPT).
- Constraint: Maximum of 7 slides.
- Mandatory Content: The PPT must cover exactly these 6 points:
- Problem & Evidence
- Proposed Solution & Differentiation
- System Architecture / Design
- Prototype Status
- Feasibility, Cost & Impact
- Execution Plan
- Assessment: Evaluated by domain experts based on content quality and adherence to the structure above.
- Outcome: Qualification or Elimination. (No prizes awarded in this round).
- Phase 2: Virtual Presentation (Semi-Finals)
- Selection: Approximately 100 teams advance from Phase 1.
- Activity: Virtual presentation of the idea.
- Liability: Teams bear 100% responsibility for network stability and device reliability.
- Consequence: Network interruptions or technical failures during the slot may lead to disqualification.
- Outcome: Top 50 teams are shortlisted for the Final Round.
- Phase 3: Prototype Competition (Finals)
- Location: On-campus at BMSIT&M, Bengaluru.
- Activity: Physical demonstration of the functional prototype.
- Assessment: Jury evaluation and Prototype Exhibition(Parallel sessions).
- Criteria: Innovation, Functionality, and Presentation.
Evaluation Metrics:
Entries will be judged strictly on the following parameters:
- Innovation: Originality and relevance of the core idea.
- Technical Feasibility: Practicality and potential for real-world implementation.
- Impact Potential: Value addition to society or specific target users.
- Presentation: Clarity, persuasiveness, and communication skills.
Prize Structure:
Awards are distributed as follows based on final jury scores:
- 1st Place: ₹60,000
- 2nd Place: ₹40,000
- 3rd Place: ₹20,000
- Track Prizes: ₹15,000 each (Awarded to the winner of each of the 7 tracks).
Zero-Tolerance Policies:
- Disqualification: Any deviation from the guidelines (e.g., exceeding slide limits), late reporting, or incomplete submissions leads to immediate disqualification.
- Liability: BMSIT&M is not responsible for technical glitches on the participant's end during virtual rounds or inconveniences caused by non-compliance with rules.
- Final Authority: The decisions of the evaluators and the jury are absolute and cannot be challenged.
