Round 1: Digital Marketing Quiz
The first round would be an online quiz. The quiz will be about digital marketing concepts, recent campaigns, marketing via Twitter, and other social media handles done by various brands. The team leader (who did the registration) can log in and give the quiz with the help of the teammates.
Round 2: Conceptualization and Strategy Submission
Teams will submit a comprehensive digital marketing strategy in a slide deck format. This round focuses on the ideation and planning aspects of a digital marketing campaign.
Round 3: Final Presentation and Results Analysis (Hybrid Mode)
Teams will present their campaign, analysis, and learnings to a panel of judges. (Online mode)

DigiBytes is a digital marketing case competition designed to test the creativity, strategic thinking, and execution capabilities of participants in the realm of digital marketing. This competition will challenge teams to create, implement, and analyze innovative digital marketing campaigns for a given brand or product. The competition aims to simulate real-world marketing scenarios, fostering practical skills and strategic insights among participants.
Round 1: Digital Marketing Quiz:
The first round would be an online quiz. The quiz will be about digital marketing concepts, recent campaigns, and marketing via Twitter, and other social media handles done by various brands. The team leader (who did the registration) can log in and give the quiz with the help of the teammates. The clues for the questions will be given on the social media handle MaSh (@marketing.iimb).
Round 2: Conceptualization and Strategy Submission:
Teams will submit a comprehensive digital marketing strategy in a slide deck format. This round focuses on the ideation and planning aspects of digital marketing
Submission Requirements:
- Slide 1: Introduction - Team name, team members, institution name, selected brand/product, and the rationale behind choosing it.
- Slide 2: Brand Analysis - Detailed analysis of the brand, target audience, key messaging, and selected digital platforms. Provide reasoning for each decision.
- Slide 3: Campaign Strategy - Outline the campaign objectives, content strategy (pre-launch, launch, post-launch), and sample content (graphics, copy, etc.). Justify the chosen formats, style, frequency, and timing of posts.
- Slide 4: Technology Stack - List and explain the digital tools and technologies that will be utilized in the campaign (e.g., social media platforms, analytics tools, content creation tools).
- Slide 5: Metrics and Future Plans - Key performance indicators (KPIs) to be tracked, future content evolution, potential collaborations, and revenue generation strategies.
Evaluation Criteria:
- Clarity and depth of analysis
- Creativity and originality
- Strategic alignment with brand goals
- Viability and practicality of the proposed strategy
- Optimal use of digital tools and technologies
Round 3: Final Presentation and Results:
Teams will present their campaign, analysis, and learnings to a panel of judges.
Presentation Requirements:
- Prepare an 8-10 slide presentation.
- Deliver a 10-minute presentation followed by a 5-minute Q&A session.
Evaluation Criteria:
- Depth of analysis and insights
- Quality and clarity of the presentation
- Ability to critically evaluate and learn from the campaign
- Creativity and strategic thinking in future recommendations
