Ecolution 4.0: Think Sustainability to Create a Better Tomorrow

IIM Bangalore’s International Business Summit Vista 2024, in association with ENS, the Environment and Sustainability Club of IIMB, presents Ecolution 4.0. Climate change is one of the most pressing issues of the decade, and mind-bending problems require groundbreaking solutions. Through this competition, we want to kindle the sustainable spirit in you to come up with creative and well-thought-out solutions to the problems presented in the case. 

Round 1: Quiz (Pre-Vista Prelims)

Test your sustainability knowledge in our quiz! This quiz will challenge you with questions on sustainability, carbon emissions, and climate change. You'll have 30 minutes to complete the quiz, so be sure to brush up on your facts before you start. The top 50 teams will advance to Round 2.

Round 2: Case Submission

The second round is a case submission round. Shortlisted teams will be sent a case to which they will be required to send their solution in a PPT. The top 8 teams will make it to round 3. A deck consisting of a maximum of 5 slides (excluding the cover slide and appendix) must be submitted. The naming convention is TeamName_InstituteName. All the information regarding the case, other guidelines about the deck, and evaluation criteria will be shared in the case document.

Round 3: Final Pitch

In this round, 8 shortlisted teams will pitch their case solutions to a panel of judges. There is no limit on the number of slides. However, the pitch needs to be completed in 10 minutes and will be followed by Q&A session for 3 minutes. It will be conducted in a hybrid mode, depending on the availability of participants and judges. The top 2 teams will be selected as winners and runners-up, respectively.

*Teams that are unable to make adequate travel arrangements for the finals are advised to communicate at least 2 days prior to the round start date.

Rules:

• The Round 2 case will be accessible only to the teams that qualify Round 1.
• Teams must comprise a maximum of three members, all of whom must be enrolled in a graduate or a post-graduate program at the time of the submission.
• Cross-college teams are not allowed.
• An institute can have any number of teams participating. However, if a team member is found participating as a part of more than one team, all such teams shall be disqualified.
• A team can make multiple submissions during the submission round. The last submission will be considered for further evaluation.

The participants must carefully read through and agree to the following terms & conditions:

• All decisions in matters of eligibility, authenticity, and final judgments will be with the organizing committee of Vista, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
• The format and structure of events on campus could be subject to change before the actual beginning of the event.
