PAWSitive Impact, A Case Competition on Animal Welfare: Stages and Timelines
Round 1: Case Submission
Participants will receive a real-life, anonymized case study focused on a specific issue related to animal welfare on campus. Teams will be required to collaborate to thoroughly analyze the case, identify the primary challenges, and develop innovative and comprehensive strategies to address these issues. Submissions should be in the form of a PPT with a maximum of 6 slides, not including the introduction, appendix, and thank you slides.
Round 2: Final Presentation (Virtual)
The top 5 teams from Round 1 will advance to the final round. In this round, teams will have the opportunity to present their solutions in front of an esteemed panel of judges. Each team will deliver a detailed presentation of their PPT, followed by a Q&A session where judges will probe deeper into their analysis, solutions, and feasibility.

PAWSitive Impact is a thought-provoking and impactful event that is designed to present very real and pressing animal welfare-related scenarios to the participants. Participants will form teams of 2-3 and craft innovative and sustainable solutions that will benefit not only the animals but also all stakeholders involved. These solutions will then be presented in the form of a presentation to a panel of esteemed judges.
Round 1: Case Submission:
- Participants will receive a real-life, anonymized case study focused on a specific issue related to animal welfare on campus. Teams will analyze the case, identify the primary challenges, and develop innovative and comprehensive strategies to address the identified issues.
- Submissions should be in the form of a PPT with a maximum of 6 slides, not including the introduction, appendix, and thank you slides.
Round 2: Final Presentation:
- The top 5 teams from Round 1 will have the opportunity to present their solutions in front of an esteemed panel of judges followed by a Q&A session.
- The evaluation criteria will be:
- Relevance to Vista's theme of “Reimagine. Reinvent. Redefine.”
- The positive impact of the solution on all stakeholders
- Depth of analysis and understanding of the problem
- Originality, creativity, and innovation of the solutions
- Feasibility and practicality of the implementation plan
- Quality (Delivery, content, structure, clarity, and use of visual aids) of the presentation and ability to answer questions effectively
Rules:
- Teams must comprise of a maximum of three members, all of whom must be enrolled in a graduate or a post-graduate program at the time of the submission
- Cross-college teams are allowed
- An institute can have any number of teams participating. However, if a team member is found participating as a part of more than one team, all such teams shall be disqualified
- Only the first submissions made by teams before the deadlines will be used
Terms & Conditions:
The participants must carefully read through and agree to the following:
- All decisions in matters of eligibility, authenticity, and final judgments will be with the organizing committee of Vista, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore
- The format and structure of events on campus could be subject to change before the actual beginning of the event
- The decisions of the organizers will be final and binding on all participants
