Trade-A-Thon: Stages and Timelines
Round 1
This is an online simulation round which will take place on PaperTrade, Upsurge's flagship trading platform. Participants can login on PaperTrade using this link https://bit.ly/papertrademu on 5th Feb. Each participant will get capital of 5,00,000 virtual money for 3 trading days. In this round, participants are required to engage in trading activities (buying and selling equity stocks and equity futures & options) over 3 Trading days. You can do Intraday or carry forward positions up to 3 days. Take as many trades as you want in these 3 days. Based on the portfolio value at the end of 3 days Top 30 participants will be shortlisted for the finale round. Stock selection is the key. Main aim is to maximize returns/profit in these 3 days. Offline Round
This will be an offline round! Top 30 participants from Round 1 will be invited to Masters' Union campus in Gurugram for the finals which will include ring trading event. This too will be an individual participation. The Top 3 will be decided on the basis of combined performance from online mock trading and offline ring trading event. The Finalists in round 2 will get to attend a Masterclass on Trading Psychology by Mr. Harneet Singh Kharbanda in Masters Union campus Harneet has been a full-time trader in both Indian and US markets for the past nine years. Get ready for an adrenaline-pumping journey through the exciting world of trading as Trade-A-Thon brought to you by Masters Union Investment Fund(MUIF), Masters Union, in collaboration with PaperTrade and Upsurge, kicks off on the 5th of February. This electrifying trading competition in cash & derivatives is your chance to showcase your financial acumen and strategic thinking. Whether you're a seasoned trader or a newcomer eager to explore the markets, Trade-A-Thon is your platform to shine. On the final day, we will be shortlisting the Top 30 based on their portfolio performance in the mock trading event, at the end of the 3 days. The top 30 would then be invited to our campus in Gurugram for an offline finals. The top 3 would be decided on the basis on a ring trade. We have also planned an interactive panel discussion with experts from the trading industry on the very same day.

Winner Announcement:
The thrill doesn't end with the closing bell! The winners of Trade-A-Thon will be revealed on the 11th of February, 2024. Stay tuned to MUIF's official social media handles for the grand announcement and celebrate your trading success with the world.

Participants:
- Any individual who has an interest in stock markets & wants to learn or experience stock markets without risking real money can participate in this contest.
- Only Individual participants can participate in this cohort. No teams are allowed.
Contest:
- The contest will take place on PaperTrade, Upsurge's flagship trading platform, where participants can engage in trading with virtual money using real-time data.
- Each student who will participate in the trading cohort will get access to paper trade for 3 days with 5,00,000 virtual money.
- In this competition, participants are required to engage in trading activities over 3 Trading days.
- Students can take as many trades as they want in this tenure of 3 days.
- The top 30 of this online simulation will be the people who have the highest portfolio value at the end of the 3-day tenure.
- The top 30 would then be invited for an offline finals in our campus in Gurugram on the 11th of February 2024. This will also be an individual participation. The top 3 to be decided on the basis of a ring trade round. We would also have an interactive panel discussion with a few experts from the trading industry.
