Round 1: Online Quiz (Pre-Vista Prelims)
This round will consist of analytics and business-related questions in MCQ and type-in format for the participants to solve. This round serves as the first elimination round.
Round 2: Online Case Submission
Teams will be required to analyze the provided case, leverage analytics techniques, and devise innovative solutions. Teams will submit their detailed case solutions, showcasing their ability to apply analytics to real-world business challenges. This round serves as the second elimination round, selecting the most outstanding teams to advance to the next stage.
Teams need to Zip all the files together and then upload on the given link.
Round 3: Online* Case Presentation
The top teams from the case submission round will present their solutions to a panel of judges. During the online case presentation, teams will demonstrate their in- depth understanding of the case, their analytical approach, and their ability to communicate their findings and recommendations effectively.

Round 1: Online Quiz (Pre-Vista Prelims)
- This round will consist of analytics and business-related questions in MCQ and type-in format for the participants to solve.
- This round serves as the first elimination round
Round 2: Online Case Submission
- This will be the case submission round.
- The top teams shortlisted in the first round will have to solve the case and submit their entries.
- Teams will be required to analyze the provided case, leverage analytics techniques, and devise innovative solutions.
- Teams will submit their detailed case solutions, showcasing their ability to apply analytics to real-world business challenges.
This round serves as the second elimination round, selecting the most outstanding teams to advance to the next stage.
Round 3: On Campus* Case Presentation
- The top teams from the case submission round will be invited to IIM Bangalore to present their solutions to a panel of judges.
- During the on-campus case presentation, teams will demonstrate their in- depth understanding of the case, their analytical approach, and their ability to communicate their findings and recommendations effectively.
- Teams that are unable to make adequate travel arrangements for the finals are advised to communicate atleast 2 days prior to the round start date.
Eligibility:
To participate in the Data Beyond Boundaries case competition, teams must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Each team must consist of 2 or 3 students.
- All team members must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate program at a recognized college or university.
- All team members must be from the same college or university.
Rules:
- The first (quiz round) will be an online quiz of 20 mins durations, conducted on the Unstop platform
- Selected teams will be asked to submit a presentation on the given case study for the second round
- The top teams will be selected for the final presentation round
- Details regarding the duration and evaluation for the presentation round will be shared with the shortlisted teams
- A team can submit only one entry, and no submissions beyond the deadline would be accepted
- There is no limit on the number of teams from a college; the same person cannot be part of multiple groups
- In case of any disputes, the decision of Vista Team, IIM Bangalore will be final
Judging Criteria:
Participants will be judged based on the uniqueness of the problem solution (40%), the applicability of the solution (40%), and presentation style (20%).
Term and Conditions:
The participants must carefully read through and agree to the following terms & conditions:
- All decisions in matters of eligibility, authenticity, and final judgments will be with the organizing committee of Vista, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
- The format and structure of events on campus could be subject to change before the actual beginning of the event.
- The decisions of the organizers will be final and binding on all participants.
