Round 1: Objective Quiz
An objective quiz testing the basics of finance, valuations, and general knowledge in the start-up world
Round 2: Preliminary analysis of opportunities and Industry (~2 pager submission)
Round 2 will entail a 2-pager submission (Word-PDF format) covering a brief evaluation of the investment opportunities (pros and cons, risks etc. of the companies provided), Investment choice/decision with rationale (Which company are you choosing and why?) and industry analysis pertaining to the company chosen.
The list of companies are given in the event description below.
Note: you need to pick only one company and do analysis of that, comparing it with the rest of the given companies is not required.
Round 3: Detailed Investment Proposal
Round 3 deck submission will entail a detailed Investment Proposal submission and presentation (ppt format) building on the investment decision and submission in the previous round.
It should include proposed private equity transaction details (investment overview including company and industry analysis, company growth levers, valuation, deal financing, financial projections, assumptions, risks, expected returns on investment, IRR), exit strategy & expected MOIC etc. Time horizon of proposed investment to be 5 years
PPT/PDF (max 12 slides including appendix and excluding cover page and table of contents) is to be uploaded on Unstop
Round 4: Final Presentation (Virtual)
The teams will then make a presentation to a panel of judges during Vista’24

Event Format:
- Round 1: Objective quiz testing finance basics, valuations, and startup knowledge (MCQ format with screen sharing allowed).
- Round 2: Submission of a 2-page PDF covering evaluation of investment opportunities, choice of company with rationale, and industry analysis.
- Round 3: Detailed investment proposal and presentation (ppt format) including company and industry analysis, financial projections, deal financing, risks, and expected returns.

Note: Each team must pick only one company in its submission in round 2 and stick to the same in round 3. Changing companies is not allowed between Round 2 and Round 3. Round 2 submission (Industry analysis, Merits and demerits should flow into and be coherent with the round 3 deck submission)

Rules and Regulations:
- Teams of 3-5 participants, with cross-college teams allowed.
- Each team must register on the IIMB Vista website.
- Only first submissions before deadlines will be considered.
- Organizers' and judges' decisions are final.
Suggestions:
- Annotate all references and sources in the presentation.
- Consider preparing a working Excel model for analysis, beneficial during Q&A with judges.
