Niti Vishleshak, A Public Policy Decision Analysis: Stages and Timelines
Round 1: Quiz
Participants shall be exposed to an online quiz with a diverse set of questions around polity, public policy, law, governance, history and current affairs. The duration of the quiz will be 10 minutes. This is an eliminative round and only the top teams will proceed to the next round. Please note that accuracy shall be the primary evaluation parameter. In case of a clash, speed of answering shall be taken into account for ranking the teams
Round 2: Brief Submission
Top 40 Qualifying teams have the opportunity to choose any theme from the 13 listed below. They are required to identify relevant problems within their selected theme and propose solutions. Submissions should be no more than 5 slides (excluding title slides and appendices) and must be in PPTX format.
Round 3: Final Presentation
Upto Top 8 teams will present their solutions to a panel of judges. Each team will have a total of 10 minutes: 7 + 3 (for the presentation and the Q&A). Teams will be evaluated based on the practicality and coherence of their ideas. Here, the evaluation will focus more on the details presented and the depth of the analysis. The International Business Summit Vista 2024, organized by IIM Bangalore in collaboration with the Public Policy Club, proudly presents “Niti Vishleshak” - an esteemed competition for policy enthusiasts.
Niti Vishleshak is designed to engage and inspire young minds to delve into the public policy domain and articulate their visions for future policy directions. Participants are tasked with delivering comprehensive analyses on contemporary topics of their choice, highlighting the significant impacts on respective industries and society at large.
This competition offers a unique opportunity for participants to gain practical experience in policy analysis, refine their expertise, and present their findings on a recognized public policy platform. Selected teams will also have the chance to participate in an interactive Q&A session, demonstrating the depth and rigour of their analysis while competing with the brightest minds from across the country.
Participants Are at Liberty to Choose Any Topic Which Is Related to At Least One of The Given Fields:

Guidelines:
- You can participate in teams of 1-3 people.
- Cross-college teams are allowed.
- Each team can choose only one topic for analysis and the same should be presented in both Round 2 and Round 3.
- The competition will consist of three rounds: an initial quiz, followed by PPT submission by the qualified candidates, and concluding with a final presentation to the panel by the candidates who clear Round 2. Selected teams for the final round will be informed via mail.
- An institute can have any number of teams participating. However, if a team member is found participating as a part of more than one team, all such teams shall be disqualified.
- There is no participation fee.
- All rounds will be conducted online.
Terms & Conditions:
- All decisions in matters of eligibility, authenticity, and final judgments will be with the organizing committee of Vista, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
- The format and structure of events on campus could be subject to change before the actual beginning of the event.
- The decisions of the organizers will be final and binding on all participants.
