Young Leaders' Summit (YLS)

At this year’s Young Leaders Summit, our theme, "Transform. Innovate. Sustain." captures the essence of driving meaningful change in today's rapidly evolving world. By focusing on these three pillars, we aim to empower young leaders to think beyond the conventional, embrace innovation, and create sustainable solutions for the future.

Details:

• Eligibility: The event is open to all students pursuing any degree in any field across India and abroad
• Charges: INR 1999/- for all selected candidates + INR 1000/- for accommodation (FCFS)
• Young Leaders’ Summit brings together young minds who aspire to become future business leaders
• The delegates will take part in a 3-day offline summit which provides them with a peek into the corporate world, and its challenges and lets them experience management tools and techniques
• The delegates get a chance to interact and learn from IIM Bangalore’s renowned faculty, participate in workshops, and interact with corporate leaders
• The forum also gives a glimpse into the life of an MBA graduate and will help students make informed decisions about their careers. The event is scheduled for 9th August 2024 – 11th August 2024, on the IIMB campus

YLS Sessions:

• Speaker Series – Participants will get the chance to interact with renowned speakers from many domains including business, strategy, and media. These talks will be engaging, inspirational, and informative and are sure to leave the participants with food for thought.
• Faculty Workshops – Workshops on communication, business, product design, and much more, held and run by IIM Bangalore's famed faculty. These workshops will aid participants in taking the first step into their futures by equipping them with some of the skills they would need.
• Case Competition – Learning through case studies is a pedagogical method adopted in business schools worldwide. What are case studies, how do you solve them, what are the insights they bring, and finally, how does one present them? These are some of the questions that will be answered through hands-on experience with the case-based approach at the YLS workshop.
• Fireside Chat – To get a holistic view of MBA life & beyond, domain-specific fireside chats by current MBA students will be held throughout the summit. These are aimed at giving Young Leaders a glimpse into the world of studying finance, marketing, consulting, general management & product management through an informative yet fun & informal lens.
• Business Simulation – Step into the shoes of a decision-maker and feel the risk, excitement, and rigour of the business world through a fun, interactive simulation - a real-time game based on the principles of strategy, communication, and people skills. This simulation game is a chance to use all the learning YLS offers over the 3 days.

Registration Process:

• Candidates willing to participate in YLS need to register on our partner platform, Unstop. They need to fill out the registration form which will be sent to the participant on their registered email ID by Team VISTA.
• The first set of shortlists for delegates will be released by the last week of July and all the short-listed delegates will be invited to the Young Leaders’ Summit at VISTA 2024. The delegates will confirm their seats by paying the registration fees of INR 1999. The opportunity will move on to the waitlisted candidates until all seats are filled.

Rules and Regulations:

• The event is open to all students pursuing any degree in any field across India and abroad.
• YLS 2024 has a limited number of seats and candidates will be selected through a screening process.
• This is an individual event, a candidate should apply in their capacity.
• Team VISTA 2024 will hold absolute discretion regarding any disputes in case they arise, and their decision will be final and binding.
• Refrain from indulging in malpractices, the questions are to know the candidate better and gauge their interests.
• Only breakfast will be provided as part of the registration fees.
• Accommodation can be availed on a first-cum-first-serve basis at INR 1000 for the entire duration (exclusive of registration fees).
• Any amount received for confirmation of seat will not be refunded.
