JAM (Just a Minute): Stages and Timelines
Round 1: Topic Spin (Offline)
Participants will receive a random topic and must speak on it for exactly 60 seconds. Stay sharp and avoid hesitation, repetition, or deviation! Top scorers will move on to the next round.
Round 2: Story Building JAM (Offline)
A theme will be provided, and participants must craft and deliver a smooth, engaging story narrative within one minute. Judges will evaluate creativity, coherence, and delivery. Only the most eloquent speakers will advance to the final showdown.
Round 3: Spotlight Challenge (Final Round - Offline)
The finalists will face a surprise twist in their topics while managing interruptions from the panel. This ultimate test of wit and composure will determine who takes home the title of Master of Words.

Whether it’s tackling serious subjects or quirky topics like “Why squirrels are the secret masterminds of the animal kingdom”, you’ll need to stay sharp and keep the crowd hooked. No stutters, no slips, and no repeating yourself—just 60 seconds of uninterrupted brilliance!
Get ready to showcase your spontaneity, engage the audience, and battle it out to become the Master of Words at Unmute, the cultural extravaganza by Masters’ Union!
General Guidelines
Eligibility:
- Open to all college students.
- No prior experience required—just confidence and a dash of creativity!
Registration:
- People must register online through Unstop by the specified deadline.
- Judging and Disputes
- The judges' decision will be final and binding.
Rules and Regulations
- Participants must speak for exactly one minute—no more, no less.
- Hesitation, repetition, and deviation from the topic will result in a deduction of marks.
- No external props or aids are allowed.
- Participants will be timed, and the Judges will vote on the best speaker based on content and delivery.

Code of Conduct
- Respect all participants, organizers, and audience members.
- The use of alcohol, drugs, or any prohibited substances is strictly forbidden.
- Any damage caused to equipment or venue property will be charged to the person responsible.
Disqualification/Penalisation
Participant may be disqualified/Penalised for the following reasons:
- Use of offensive or inappropriate language.
- Exceeding the allocated time limit.
- Disruptive behavior or misconduct on/off-stage.
- Failure to comply with the judges’ or organizers’ decisions.
