Shabd Saga: A Hindi and Urdu Poetry Competition: Stages and Timelines
Round 1: Online Submission
On First Round (Online Submission) Participants submit self-composed poems in the form of a pre-recorded video, with a maximum time limit of 5 minutes. Participants can choose one of the themes- ‘देशभक्ति, श्रृंगार or प्रेम’. The poetry should captivate, evoke emotions, and align with the specified theme. Selected poets will advance to the second round based on the quality of their submissions.
On Stage Presentation
Shortlisted poets will present their poems before an audience and a panel of judges on the day of event.

Competition Structure:
- Individual Event: Each participant competes independently; there is no limit on the number of entries from any institution.
- Open Registration: Affiliation with a college poetry society is not required.
Additional Rules:
- Disqualification: Organizers (IIM Bangalore) reserve the right to disqualify participants for inappropriate conduct or failure to meet eligibility criteria.
- Unacceptable Behavior: Includes misconduct, mistreatment of others, obscenity, or violating competition rules.
- Conduct Expectations: Participants must uphold respect, cooperation, and maintain a supportive environment.
- Anti-Discrimination Policy: All forms of identity-based discrimination are strictly prohibited.
