Event Overview:

The AI Hackathon is designed to challenge participants to develop an AI-powered system that efficiently matches Job Descriptions (JD) with Candidate CVs, filters out less relevant profiles, and prioritizes candidates based on job fit. The event consists of two phases:

  1. Phase 1 (March 3-4, 2025) - Participants design the architecture and workflow.
  2. Phase 2 (March 11, 2025) - Selected teams develop a prototype and showcase their solution.

Hackathon Structure:

Phase 1: Conceptualization & Architecture Design

  • Task Release Date: March 3, 2025
  • Deadline for Submission: March 4, 2025, 11:59 PM IST
  • Evaluation & Results Announcement: March 6, 2025
  • Task: Teams must submit a PowerPoint presentation (PPT) and system architecture outlining their AI approach for JD-CV matching.
  • Evaluation Criteria:
    • Innovation & Feasibility
    • AI Techniques & Algorithm Selection
    • Scalability & Performance
    • Clarity & Presentation Quality
    • Ethical & Bias Considerations
  • Selection: The best approaches will be shortlisted for the final round.

Phase 2: Prototype Development & Demo

  • Finalists Announced: March 6, 2025
  • Development Period: March 7-11, 2025 (Participants can start working from March 7)
  • Offline Hackathon & Showcase: March 11, 2025
  • Venue: IIT Delhi
  • Task: Develop a working prototype or demo that implements the AI JD-CV matching system.
  • Demo Duration: Each team gets 10 minutes for their presentation and demo, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session.
  • Evaluation Criteria:
    • Functionality & Accuracy of Matching
    • Efficiency & Scalability
    • UI/UX & Usability
    • Innovation & Creativity
    • Presentation & Explanation
    • Ethical Considerations & Bias Handling
  • Winner Selection: Top-performing teams will be declared winners.

Team Composition:

  • Teams must have 2 to 4 members.
  • Cross-functional teams (developers, AI/ML experts, designers) are encouraged.
  • Each team must designate a Team Lead for communication purposes.

Rules & Guidelines:

  • Originality: All submissions must be original work, plagiarism will lead to disqualification.
  • Ethical AI: Solutions must avoid discrimination or biases in candidate screening.
  • Tech Stack: Any AI/ML framework or programming language can be used (Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
  • Data Usage: Teams must use the dataset provided or generate their own synthetic data.
  • Submission Format:
    1. Phase 1: PPT and architecture diagram (PDF format allowed).
    2. Phase 2: Code repository (GitHub/Bitbucket), working demo, and final presentation.
  • Deadline Adherence: Late submissions will not be entertained.
  • Team Collaboration: Participants must work within their teams and avoid external assistance.
