Ethos Hackathon 2024
Get ready for Ethos, Northeast India's biggest hackathon, proudly brought to you by Coding Club IIT Guwahati! This is more than just a competition—it's your opportunity to tackle real-world challenges and showcase your innovative solutions.
With problem statements from industry leaders like Saptang Labs, Trumio, and Graph India, Ethos kicks off on 9th September with MVP submissions. Shortlisted teams will then head to IIT Guwahati for a final 3-day hackathon filled with innovation, collaboration, and exciting prizes.

Eligibility:
- Who Can Participate:
- Students, professionals, and innovators from various backgrounds.
- No restrictions based on experience level; both beginners and experienced individuals are encouraged to participate.
How to Participate:
- Registration: Sign up for the Ethos Hackathon on Unstop.
- Team Composition:
- Team Size: 2 to 4 members.
- Inter-College Teams: Allowed; teams can include members from different colleges or institutions.
Competition Rounds:
- Round 1: Submission Round - MVP via Unstop
- Submission Requirements:
- Develop a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) based on a chosen problem statement.
- Submit the MVP via Unstop.

- Technical feasibility
- Potential impact of the solution

- Round 2: Offline On-Campus Round - Overnight Hackathon
- What to Expect:
- Teams qualifying from Round 1 will be invited to IIT Guwahati for an 18-hour overnight hackathon.
- Develop MVPs into fully functional prototypes and present them to judges.
- Certification: Participation certificates for teams that qualify and participate in the on-campus hackathon.

Rules and Guidelines:
- Originality:
- All ideas and solutions must be original and developed during the hackathon.
- The use of pre-existing software or codebases is allowed if properly cited and within ethical guidelines.
- Plagiarism:
- Any form of plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification. Ensure all work is your team’s original effort.
- Ethical Guidelines:
- Adhere to ethical standards; innovations should be fair, respectful, and not infringe on any rights.

- The nature of the final round (fully offline or hybrid) is subject to administrative decisions by the institute. Participants will be informed in advance about any changes

About Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati
- Established in 1994, IIT Guwahati is the 6th member of the IIT fraternity.
- The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995.
