Roles:
- The Business Development Manager (BDM) acts as the primary driver of organizational growth. This role bridges the gap between the company’s current position and its future expansion by identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and managing client relationships. The BDM serves as the face of the company to prospective clients, translating the company's value proposition into long-term revenue streams.
Responsibilities:
- Growth Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to identify new markets, customer segments, and industry trends to increase market share.
- Lead Generation & Pipeline Management: Proactively hunt for new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, email campaigns, and social selling. Manage the entire sales pipeline from initial contact to closing.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers. Schedule and conduct meetings to understand client needs and present tailored solutions.
- Negotiation & Closing: Lead contract negotiations, draft proposals, and close deals that align with company goals and profitability targets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product, and technical teams to ensure that client requirements are met and to provide feedback on market demands.
- Reporting & Analysis: Track performance metrics (KPIs), prepare sales forecasts, and report on business development activities to senior management.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven working experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or a relevant role (typically 3–5+ years).
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create compelling presentations and proposals.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze market trends and competitor activities to formulate effective strategies.
- Tech Savviness: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office/Google Workspace. Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus.
- Negotiation Skills: A track record of successful negotiation and the ability to influence C-level executives.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is often preferred).
