Round 1: Exploration Round- "Uncharted Territories"
Choose one of the 4 domains, define a problem statement and devise an innovative solution within 36 hours focusing on creativity and a basic working prototype.
Round 2: Industry Insight Challenge- "Bridging the Gap"
Choose from a variety of industry-specific challenges sourced directly from companies grappling with these issues on a daily basis and develop a creative solution within 36 hours.
Round 3: Final Showcase- "Innovation Unveiled"
Finalists present at MPSTME NMIMS or via Google Meet for online participants
All that you need to know about Datathon 3.0
Welcome to Datathon 3.0 by Analytika, a platform for students to showcase innovative prowess and problem-solving skills. We aim to bring together bright minds to tackle real-world challenges and present groundbreaking solutions.
Eligibility Criteria and Team Formation Guidelines:
- Team size: Up to 3 members.
- College identity document required for identification.
- Maximum age limit: 24 years.
- Intercollege grouping allowed.
Hackathon Rounds:
Round 1: Exploration Round- "Uncharted Territories" (25th Jan)
- Teams participating in hackathon are supposed to choose a domain, define a problem statement and devise an innovative solution within 36 hours focusing on creativity and a basic working prototype.
- All the teams will be eligible for Round 1.
- Teams will be given 4 different domains, and are supposed to define a problem statement based on any one domain and hence decode the problem within 36 hours.
- NOTE - Domains will be given 1 hour before the start of the hackathon.
- Top 25 teams will be selected for Round 2.
Round 2: Industry Insight Challenge- "Bridging the Gap" (28th Jan)
- In this round, participants will be presented with a variety of industry-specific challenges sourced directly from companies grappling with these issues on a daily basis.
- They must research, innovate, and propose feasible solutions within a given timefram.
- Participants will have 36 Hours to give an innovative solution on the given problem statement.
Round 3: Final Showcase- "Innovation Unveiled" (31st Jan)
- Finalists present at MPSTME NMIMS or via Google Meet for online participants.
- Industry experts evaluate projects through an 8-minute Q&A session.
Submission Requirements for Round 1 and Round 2:
- Document or optional video explaining the project.
- Evaluation based on innovation, completion, complexity, originality.
- Video (optional, max 5 min) for demos.
- Mandatory documentation using provided PPT template.
- Presentation Template:
- For Video (Optional , only if the project contains a demo of any application)
- Max Time limit - 5 min
- Any team member can create the video.
- Video should describe project details and should also contain a demo(if any).
- For Documentation (Mandatory)
- A ppt template will be provided , only this template will be acceptable.
- Max 12-15 slides
- Participants can attach the Github repo link and the video link (Google Drive or youtube) in the PPT.
Evaluation & Documentation:
- Projects will be evaluated by the mentors.
- Projects will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- Innovation (20 Points)
- Completion (20 Points)
- Complexity (10 Points)
- Originality (10 Points)
Registrations and Requirements:
- Active internet connection, laptop/desktop with mic and camera, Git and GitHub Desktop installed, and Discord installed.
- Participants must have accounts on GitHub and Discord.
Prizes:
- Winner: 5k cash prize, $150 AWS credits and goodie hampers.
- Runner-up: 2k cash prize, $75 AWS credits and goodie hampers.
- 2nd Runner-up: $75 AWS credits and goodie hampers.
