About UPES Cloud Security Alliance (CSA):

• Founded in 2017, the UPES Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) is a student-led chapter advancing expertise in emerging technologies like cloud computing, AI, and cybersecurity.
• Through workshops, certifications, and industry collaborations, CSA bridges the gap between academia and industry, fostering innovation and skill development.

Hackathon Legacy:

• Hackathon 1.0: Featured 300+ participants solving real-world challenges for NGOs and organizations, offering a ₹3 Lakh prize pool.
• Hackathon 2.0: Focused on health and education, awarding ₹1 Lakh in prizes and internship opportunities.
• Hackathon 3.0: Included global teams tackling themes like "Urban Innovation" and "Digital Security," supported by Microsoft and DRDO, with ₹50,000 in prizes and special awards.

Hackathon 4.0 Overview:

• The 4th edition of UPES CSA's flagship event takes innovation to new heights!
• Participants will tackle real-world challenges under two themes:
  • Adaptive Wellness: Mental health, accessibility, well-being solutions.
  • Hazard & Disaster Management: Emergency response, disaster mitigation, resilience-building.
• Backed by industry partnerships and expert mentorship, Hackathon 4.0 provides a platform to:
  • Collaborate, innovate, and create impactful solutions.
  • Showcase talent, push boundaries, and drive meaningful change.

Eligibility:

• Team Size: 2 to 4 members.
• Registration Fee: ₹250 per team.
• Participation: Open to both on-campus and off-campus teams.
• Eligible Batches: 2025, 2026, 2027, and 2028 (students only).

Competition Structure:

• Registration:
  • Register on the Unstop platform by logging in, clicking the registration button, and filling in team details.
  • Join the Official WhatsApp Group for event updates.
  • Post-registration, participants will receive updates on themes, problem statements, sessions, and event details.
• Pre-Hackathon Sessions:
  • Two sessions will provide insights and training on the themes, problem statements, and key technical skills required for Hackathon 4.0.
• Problem Statement Reveal & Selection:
  • Participants will select a real-world challenge aligned with their expertise to ensure impactful solutions.

Competition Rounds:

• Round 1: Presentation Round:
  • Teams pitch their ideas, outlining the problem, approach, and technologies they will use.
• Round 2: Initial Development:
  • Teams develop the project’s backend and core functionalities, completing 40-50% of the project.
• Round 3: Integration & Refinement:
  • Teams integrate the frontend and backend, ensuring a seamless user experience while reaching 80-90% project completion.
• Final Round: Finalization & Submission:
  • Projects are refined, documented, and finalized for presentation to the judges.

Prizes & Recognition:

• Top 3 Teams: Cash prizes based on final round performance.
• 2 Special Prizes: For innovative ideas and debutant coders.
• Goodies for Participants: Winning teams will receive exciting goodies as a token of appreciation.
