InnoVault IIC DTU: Stages and Timelines
Screening Round: Idea Submission
Teams will present their ideas aligned with the given themes (refer the description), and the most promising submissions will be shortlisted to advance to the next round.
Offline Round
The Offline Round will be held at DTU Campus on 4th and 5th February, where shortlisted teams from the screening round will build and prototype the ideas they previously submitted.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at DTU is proud to present InnoVault - IIC DTU, a high-octane, 20-hour offline hackathon scheduled for February 4th and 5th, 2026. Held right here on the DTU campus, this intensive competition invites teams of 2 to 4 members to push the boundaries of technology and creative problem-solving. Whether you are an aspiring hardware enthusiast, a coding prodigy, or a visionary designer, InnoVault provides a premier stage to transform your wildest ideas into functional prototypes within a ticking clock, all while networking with like-minded innovators and industry experts.
A unique feature of this year’s hackathon is that some selected participating projects will be uploaded to the YUKTI (Young India Unleashing Knowledge & Innovation) National Innovation Repository (NIR). This flagship initiative by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell offers students unparalleled national visibility, cataloging their work for government bodies, AICTE, and academic leaders. Beyond mere recognition, the YUKTI portal serves as a massive ecosystem for growth, offering participants access to expert mentorship, potential incubation at reputed centers, and vital connections to Angel Investors and Venture Capitalists.
Prizes & Perks:
- A total cash prize pool of ₹25,000 will be awarded to the top two performing teams.
- Participation Certificates for all attendees.
- An opportunity to interact and build connections with esteemed faculty members and experts from
- DTU along with like-minded participants.
- Refreshments will be provided for all participants during the hackathon.

Idea Presentation Guidelines for Screening Round:
- Format: A 6-Slide presentation (including Title page, Idea, Technical Approach, Feasibility and
Viability, Impacts and Benefits, Research and References) must be submitted. The presentation
is to be submitted on the platform and will be used for the shortlisting.

About Delhi Technological University (DTU), New Delhi
- Delhi Technological University was established in 1941 to fulfill the needs of Indian industries for trained technical manpower having the right theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
- The college got affiliated to Delhi University in the year 1952.
- The college was set up at historic Kashmere Gate campus but later on, in 1996, the campus was shifted to Bawana Road, adjoining Sector-17, Rohini, Delhi-42 covering the area of 164 acres of land.
- The college's former name Delhi College of Engineering was changed to Delhi Technological University in July 2009.
