Paytm is hiring for the role of Social Influencer Intern!
About:
Paytm is India’s leading digital payments and financial services company, which is focused on driving consumers and merchants to its platform by offering them a variety of payment use cases. Paytm provides consumers with services like utility payments and money transfers, while empowering them to pay via Paytm Payment Instruments (PPI) like Paytm Wallet, Paytm UPI, Paytm Payments Bank Netbanking, Paytm FASTag and Paytm Postpaid - Buy Now, Pay Later. To merchants, Paytm offers acquiring devices like Soundbox, EDC, QR and Payment Gateway where payment aggregation is done through PPI and also other banks’ financial instruments. To further enhance merchants’ business, Paytm offers merchants commerce services through advertising and Paytm Mini app store. Operating on this platform leverage, the company then offers credit services such as merchant loans, personal loans and BNPL, sourced by its financial partners.
Responsibilities of the Intern:
- Identify potential influencers in assigned regions
- Communicate and establish relationships with influencers via various platforms
- Assist influencers in the onboarding process and address any queries they may have
- Collaborate with the central team to ensure a seamless onboarding experience
- Create and curate content highlighting local influencers and their collaborations
Requirements:
- Digital marketing savvy with a strong understanding of social media platforms
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Familiarity with local cultures, languages, and social media trends
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to influencer marketing strategies

- Renu Satti: the current Senior Vice President (Business) of Paytm, Renu Satti also served as the CEO of Paytm Payments bank. She has a graduation degree from the University of Delhi.
Mergers & Acquisitions
- Balance Tech: as a step to enhance Paytm’s user and merchant interface, Bengaluru-based Balance Technology Pvt. Ltd was acquired in August 2018.
- Nightstay: an online hotel booking platform, Nightstay was acquired by Paytm in July 2018 for an undisclosed amount as a step to enhance its travel vertical which already includes travel bookings and foreign exchange services.
- Cube 26: as a step to add more social engagement features to their products and services, Paytm acquired the Delhi-based tech startup in June 2018.
- Orbgen Technologies: Orbgen technologies, the parent company of Chennai-based online ticket booking platform, TicketNew, was acquired by Paytm in May 2018 as a step to foster its entertainment ticketing business. This acquisition bought Paytm over 600 screens across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana,
- Nearbuy and Little: in November 2017, Paytm acquired both Nearbuy and Little Internet Pvt. Ltd, two deals platforms that focus on local restaurants as well as commercial establishments, with the motive of merging the two acquisitions.
- in: Insider.in, an online ticketing and events platform backed by event management company Only Much Louder (OML) was acquired by Paytm in June 2017 for a consideration of over ₹35 Crore.
