Pitch Tank: Stages and Timelines
Startup Details Submission
- Welcome to Round 1 of Pitch Tank, a flagship event under the Manipal Entrepreneurship Summit, the annual entrepreneurship festival of MIT Manipal.
- In this round, startups are invited to submit detailed applications showcasing their ideas, business models, and potential. Based on these submissions, the most promising startups will be shortlisted to progress to the next stage.

Video & Pitch Deck Submission
Shortlisted teams from Round 1 must submit the following:
Pitch Deck 8–10 slide PDF presentation. Should cover:
- Problem statement Solution
- Market opportunity
- Business model
- Financial overview
- Team details
- Pitch Video
- Pre-recorded pitch video
- Maximum duration: 3 minutes
- Should clearly and concisely present the startup idea and pitch deck content
Offline Pitching
- Selected teams will pitch in person on 13th February Judged by Venture Capitalists and Industry Leaders Teams will present their ideas, answer questions, and defend their business models Final rankings and winners will be decided in this round

Pitch Tank is a pan-India startup pitching competition curated for innovative student-led startups aiming to present their ideas to venture capitalists, angel investors, and industry experts.
The competition acts as a launchpad for early-stage, bootstrapped startups, offering participants an opportunity to gain funding support, expert mentorship, industry exposure, and valuable networking opportunities.
Pitch Tank is designed to encourage innovation, validate business ideas, and connect promising founders with key stakeholders in the startup ecosystem.
What Pitch Tank Offers:
- Opportunity to pitch in front of Venture Capitalists, Angel Investors, and Industry Leaders
- Cash prizes for top-performing startups
- Exposure to experienced professionals from the startup ecosystem
- Mentorship and constructive feedback to refine business ideas

Who Can Participate?
- Undergraduate and Master’s students from any university across India
- Individuals or teams with an early-stage startup
- Startups must be:
- Bootstrapped (no external funding received)
- Operational for less than 2 years
- Previous Pitch Tank podium finishers are not eligible to participate
Event Details:
- Event Date: 13th February
- Finale Venue: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE)
Prizes & Rewards:
- Winner: ₹75,000 + Certificate
- First Runner-Up: ₹50,000 + Certificate
- Second Runner-Up: ₹25,000 + Certificate
Terms & Conditions:
- By registering, participants grant permission to the organizers to use their names, images, and startup details for publicity and promotional purposes.
- All submitted entries and documents will not be returned.
- Participants confirm that their submissions do not violate any intellectual property rights.
- The organizing committee reserves the right to disqualify any team for non-compliance with eligibility criteria or rules.
- All decisions made by the organizers and judges will be final and binding.

About Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal
Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal was established in the year 1957.
In the year 2000, the institute became part of the deemed university – Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) which is presently known as Manipal Academy of Higher Education.
MIT offers engineering stream in both UG and PG programs.
The institute undertakes sponsored research programs supported by funding agencies like CSIR, DST, AICTE, and the Ministry of Environment Sciences.
The institute has collaborative research programs in the association with premier research labs and institutes in India and abroad.
