Video Submission Round
Submit a video recording of your performance with a duration of 10 minutes (submission of Google Drive link with open access)
Format: MP4 only, with the console and the participant clearly visible with audio recorded directly from the live performance. The submission must reflect an authentic, unedited set, no post-production enhancement, external layering, or manipulated audio will be permitted. The video should clearly show that the mix is being performed live, ensuring complete transparency and fairness in the evaluation process.
On-Campus Round
Shortlisted teams will be invited to perform in the final round on campus

War of the DJs is a high-voltage performance battle where DJs turn energy into art, beats into strategy, and mixing into a live spectacle. Inspired by arcade nostalgia and crowd-driven performance culture, the event transforms the console into a competitive arena where track selection, creativity, showmanship, and audience engagement decide the victor.
Round 1: Online Submission (Video Prelims Round)
- Participants must upload a 10-minute DJ mix video format.
- Format: MP4 only, with the console and the participant clearly visible with audio recorded directly from the live performance. The submission must reflect an authentic, unedited set, no post-production enhancement, external layering, or manipulated audio will be permitted. The video should clearly show that the mix is being performed live, ensuring complete transparency and fairness in the evaluation process.
- The mix must be recorded live, no pre-production, filters, or edited audio.
- Upload to Google Drive and share a link with open access.
- The submission must maintain clean audio with no vulgar or explicit content.
Rules & Regulations (Round 1):
- Participants must submit a continuous 10-minute live mix via Unstop.
- The genre is open, but smooth transitions and cohesive flow are required.
- Judging criteria include mixing skill, creativity, transitions, music selection, and clarity.
- The final output must be one continuous mix.
- Submissions exceeding the time limit will be penalized or rejected.
- Explicit, offensive, or culturally insensitive content will lead to disqualification.
- Judges' decisions are final and binding.
Round 2: On-Campus Round
- Shortlisted DJs will perform live in a solo set format.
- Performance Duration:
- Each participant gets a total of 25 minutes:
- 20 minutes of live DJing
- 5 minutes console setup & clearance
- Participants must carry a pen drive backup of their tracks.
Rules and Regulations (Round 2):
- DJs must perform live on the console provided by the organising team
- Participants must bring their own headphones and required accessories
- Use of abusive language, offensive phrases, or vulgar samples (in audio or on mic) will result in immediate disqualification.
- No premixes and no pre-made remixes are allowed, the performance must be mixed live.
- DJs are encouraged to incorporate commercial Bollywood, Punjabi, and Hollywood tracks for audience engagement.
- Any use of EDM, techno, trance, psytrance, and hardstyle-heavy sets are banned
- Participants must wear appropriate and performance-safe clothing. Outfits that are see-through, excessively revealing, or include tube tops or tank tops are strictly prohibited. Attire should maintain decorum and be suitable for a campus event environment.
- Participants must integrate the mandatory twist (detailed below).
- Dangerous stunts, throwing objects, or damaging equipment is strictly prohibited.
- Any misconduct or unfair practice will lead to disqualification.
- Participants must report to the venue 3 hours prior to the event.
- Judges cannot be approached before or during the event.
- Any deviation from rules may result in immediate disqualification.
General Guidelines:
- Naming Convention: ConsoleCarnage_CollegeName_FullName
(Example: ConsoleCarnage_SIBM_Aarav) - Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Participants are prohibited from mentioning their college names during the performance, any team doing so will face a penalty
- Multiple participants from the same college are permitted.
- No interfering with other contestants' equipment or preparation.
- All decisions by Unstop & SIBM Pune are final and binding.
- Terms & Conditions may be updated without prior notice.
